Do I want the source download, or the normal download? The documentation says "extract the community mapbuilder sources" - do I want the mapbuilder download, or the mapbuilder-src download? I filed this as a documentation bug because the readme really needs to specify this. Also, what version? There is a 1.0 and a 1.5a1, does the 1.5 version work?

Turns out the 1.0 version works (haven't tried 1.5, won't bother) and it's NOT the -src release, or at least you don't need the -src version. Please reflect this fact in the documentation.

I'm not changing it back or anything, but I respectfully disagree that it is a support request when there are at least three potential downloads and you don't specify which one. It's as if I told you I wanted a Chevy, and when you came back with a Silverado I yelled at you because I wanted a Camaro. You don't have installation instructions, you have vague installation suggestions.

I suggest the stable release of mapbuilder. Use the zip download, or alternatively the src download if you want to read or make changes to the mapbuilder sources.

Your demo .xml file (config.xml? I forget) clearly references the 1.5a1 sources... and will not work if they are not installed.

From the readme file: "To try a file, e.g. <map>sites/all/modules/mapbuilder/demo/config.xml</map>. Note that this file assumes that the base_path is '/drupal-5.0'. If it is not, replace it by your own value."
The config file is only an example that MUST be edited in order to make it suitable for one's own installation.

I don't understand "MUST". Are there other files that MAY be edited? Say, loadScripts.xsl and mapbuilderConfig.xml under mapbuilder-src/lib?

If they don't, it might still make sense to say so.
