No redirection to old terms after merging [#1189430]

Hi there,

When merging terms there is no automatic redirection
from old terms (becoming a synonims) to a new one.

Do you think that it would be useful?

I'd like also to have that fonction.

Trying to find out, maybe it's possible with existing modules as Global redirect etc
