I'm not sure if i'm missing something, but i am missing the option to prevent users from (accidently) deleting all submissions. So i'd actually like to have the permission setting "empty webform results". Any chance this will be added any time soon?

You can handle this by creating user roles and managing their permissions to delete own webform submissions, or delete all webform submissions, at admin/user/permissions

This permission actually did use to exist but it was removed in the 3.x version because it did the same thing as "delete all webform submissions". There is already a confirmation form when visiting the "Clear" tab, does that provide enough to prevent accidental deletion?

Apparently it doesn't, because someone actually succeeded in doing it anyway. I know it is stupid, but the amount of frustration it now leaves me with could have been easily solved by such a permission. Maybe it should be just an option on the configuration of a specific or even all webforms. Something like (enable empty tab). The permissions could then take care of the rest.

The main difference between the permissions Empy and Delete all is that the latter enables you to delete entries from others and the first lets you reset the whole thing in one single action. This is something i'd like to reserve for my administrators, and not the people who manage the form submissions for some specific events.

I hope this clarifies my problem and hope to hear your thoughts on this matter...

Regards,

Gert
