Hello,
I have some problems with the template suggestion. The only template that won't load is the node-edit.tpl.php
Is it an issue with the theme ? Should I write something special in template.php to make it work ?

check drupal6 core template suggestions. you can also add custom ones by code. (i have no sample but searching a bit will help)

For new projects, D7 is the way to go. And a D6 subtheme can replace any template files markup to be HTML5/responsive/whatever.

Only a critical or security issue fix will ever go back to the D6 version.
