Trouble getting the mappings for OG_ldap and/or ldap_groups to work

I'm having trouble trying to get this to work. I've got authentication happening via the ldap_auth module. From what I've read, I need to get the ldap_groups to roles also working in order to make this module work. Can somebody please shed some light on if they have gotten this working and what configs have made that happen? I've been trying to see if there is some issue with the ldap_groups modules and/or some config for that I've got wrong but haven't gotten anywhere yet.

I'm trying to setup an Intranet for my company (school district) and want to have people in a certain ActiveDirectory ou, map to their departments or schools Organic Group.

I would greatly appreciate any help or assistance in the manner.
