I am interested in using this module on my website which is not set as "Visitors can create accounts but administrator approval is required." However I am not sure if this is a requirement of this module. I read the below detail on the module information page and wasn't sure.

This module is meant to be used when user registration settings have been set to:

'Visitors can create accounts but administrator approval is required.'

Is this a requirement, or just the normal use for the module?

I believe that was the overall reason why the module itself was created. My experience with this module was that its not a requirement but an informal notice of sorts.

invite should still work properly without having that admin feature set.

Definitely *not* a requirement. '[...] is meant to [...]' sounds very misleading, indeed.

please don't arbitrairily open, and alter already closed issues. This issue is for the invite.module not for the core user.module. If you have an issue with core open a forum thread.
