I have three languages in a website I'm setting up: English for the admin, Portuguese and Spanish for the nodes.

the language switcher block keeps showing all three, even though it was only supposed to show the languages for which there is content, which are Portuguese and Spanish. right?

The latest D7 development snapshot (which will be available soon) contains the custom language switcher from the D6 version of the module. Please try it out and let me know if it works as intended.

This seems to work as intended in the latest 7.x version. Closing this issue for now.
