Hi,

I've installed drupal 5.1 and then lastest version of gallery2.There is a problem with the first step... authentification.

I've created a login.txt file with the random text but always sais that is incorrect.When I try to download the login.txt that the system creates, this file has a text which is different from the page says....

Resuming.... I can no go farder than the first step.

why? is there any way to bypass this step?

This is a Gallery2 issue, not a Drupal one. I suggest you try the forums at http://gallery.menalto.com/forum.

you can download the login.txt file on that same screen. it must then be uploaded to your gallery folder. WITHOUT downloading ANOTHER one or refreshing the page.

I'd start over, download it then immediately upload it, then click next or activate whatever the submit button is.

interesting, because I just installed gallery 2 on a site here personal.verymisunderstood.com and it worked perfectly well. as kiz has stated, if you need more help with this, you may want to seek out help on the gallery2 forums.

I second that motion: yesterday I spent 30 minutes trying to get past the login.txt step .. again and again. Once I cleared out my cookie cache it worked perfectly. (Note: you may even have to disable all cookies during installation).

Nothing it did no work.

My solution? I ran the configuration proccess using ie (no in linux kubuntu with firefox ).
