Hey all. I need a module (or series of modules) developed to allow users to register for classes online and make payments via PayPal. I have $500 set aside through my company for this use and am looking on achieving the following goals:

1. Creating a system that benefits the Drupal community
2. Raise more money to get programmers what they deserve to make this happen
3. Build something that works in 5.x and possibly leverages current modules, such as Event, Sign-Up and possibly e-commerce

I have some documents detailing the registration procedure for classes and information that is likely to be included. Anyone want to volunteer their time, services or suggestions?

I need a register-for-classes solution as well for a site that I help out with on a voluntary (unpaid) basis.

Are folks still interested in seeing this happen?

I like the idea of using Event, Signup and Ecommerce. I'm thinking perhaps of creating a 'Signup' product type, instances of which are linked to signup-able events. When someone signs up and pays for a class, a record is added to the Signup log, so that the Signup module works as expected, and a record of the purchase is made, so that Ecommerce works as expected.

My needs are as follows:

- People sign up for classes (events) and pay via Paypal
- When someone signs up and pays, they are provisioned as an authenticated user, and given one or more roles depending on the class.
- When the class is over, they are removed from those roles.
- Signup should be really easy - i.e. they should not have to pick a username at signup-time

At this point it looks like I'll build this module regardless, but maybe people could pay for specific features they want implemented, or just donate for the sake of goodwill :)

I have need for a similar event-as-product set up. I'd contribute for a workable module for this.
