Retrieving message sent through contact form

I inadvertently had "contact" activated for individual users. A few messages were sent through the contact form rather than the private messaging module I preferred. Is it possible to retrieve the message sent through a contact form? In other words, are the contents of a contact module message stored on the system or in the database anywhere?
