I'm using the node/add popup from a menu using the menu attributes module, and i've tried using every popup class listed in the API to get it to stop this, but every time I submit a new node via this popup form, it just closes that form and then loads a new one with the main page content in the form. What gives?

Let me know if you need a screenshot, it's kind of weird to explain.

Also, it does the same reload thing when I just do a popup form like that initiated by a regular link on the node/add page. Maybe it has to do with my theme? I'm using Marinelli

Yup, seeing the same thing here. Clicking on a node edit/add link brings up the form alright, but after submit, the popup stays up and loads a page: one time it was the originating page an another time was a totally different node.

I'm back on alpha 6 for now. Can't be of much more help right now I'm afraid.

Confirm. Submission not works when popup window using node/add popup too. zoo33 is right, alpha 6 does't have this bug

Same problem here, but with a contact page submission in a popup. Popup does not close and originating page is displayed in the popup.

Same problem in different contexts are reported in #1148820: PopUp doesn't close after submitting a form and #1020508: Node delete confirm popup not closing

As mentioned, alpha 6 does not have this bug. Reverting to alpha 6 for now.
