Just wondering whether or not excerpt module is still being maintained.

Some patches were provided, e.g. see:

However, nothing seems to happen...

As I'm upgrading a site right now (4.7.4 to 5.1) I wonder whether or not I should switch to node teaser module:
- http://drupal.org/project/nodeteaser

Yes. I'm am taking over for the previous maintainer and now working through the issue queue.
