This module never worked for me very well - but the idea behind and some of the features were really nice!

You know any Alternatives to use this now? The Problem is, that I want to have not just the downloads counted but also when the file is downloaded from RSS or Played via SWFPlayer etc.

I use this module for a podcast... I can't shift to filefield stats nor filefield download tracker because that will change the URL and duplicate entries...

Exist any risk if I'm the only one who can "administer download count" ???

it's not abandoned-- i just saw this and I need to find out what's going on. BUt it's most definitely not abandoned. I'll post back when I find out what's going on.

OK-- turns out i had changed my primary email on drupal.org and that's where the security team was trying to contact me. It's my fault for not realizing security contact would go to that address.

I'm vacation right now, but will fix this and update the module when I get back on Wednesday.

I've updated the code in git, I'm just waiting for the security team to answer a question before creating the new releases. Should be ready shortly.
