Google Docs allows any kind of file to be stored and they are selling 20GB at $5 / yr, so the price is not bad. It comes with 1gb free per account, which is a good amount already for backups or whatever.

Theres already a similar project on the go utilising Dropbox you may be interested in http://drupal.org/project/backup_migrate_dropbox . Thats an amazing price for that amount of storage with google though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like they are not out of "dev" version yet. I'd use it when it is ready but probably still prefer to have it all part of my google account, which allows sharing with email, picasa, and most other services that need lots of space.
