User Roles and Names not recognized

Very strange behaviour on views 7.x-3.0-rc1 (not in beta 3):

It is possible to add User Roles for listing and but they are no results for fields! In same time I can use user roles for filter … the behaviour is confirmed by other an other (german) forum topic …
The report event log message about is:
