I have been searching for days. Google brings me the same question I had on youtube. Drupal doesn't provide any answers.

So please, do articles have comments and how do I get mine working. Thankyou.

This is a Drupal core comments question. Moving to comments queue.

You question is extremely generic, but here are the basics:

  • go to Site Building -> Modules , and enable the "Comment" module , if not already enabled
  • go to Content Management -> Content Types -> List
  • For the content type you wish to enable comments ( eg story ), click on edit
  • You should be able to see a fieldgroup (or tab) titled "Comment settings" from where you can define the desired behaviour for you comments.

Do note that this is NOT a retro-active change ( if you have created stories, they won't display comments even if you change the settings for the content type ). You will need to edit the story and enable comments, or use an alternate method of mass update which is beyond the scope of this reply.

Hope this helps :)
