Not initially recognizing FileField Paths

I have FileField paths set for this field and upon creating and uploading a new audio track, it uploads to the correct directory and file name, but this module is still looking for the original location. Editing and saving the node doesn't work. All that seems to work is going into the field settings (via Configure under Manage Fields for the content type) and just saving it. I don't have anything set to make this retroactive so I'm not sure why it makes a difference at all.

Any ideas?
