upload image from flatbed scanner direct to image cck field

the title tells it all.
I don't know how drupal manages that
my client want to upload images from flatbed scanner directly to its field.
he wants to do a daily bulk image uploading with the least process.
any solutions, ideas, links I will be thankful.
