From my earlier post, my question was this. Since my question was basically answered on what to edit in the settings.php file, it is now simply, what and where do I edit and what exactly do I put in? My earlier post was:

vm commentedSorry, I did not see where you listed your OS in either of the two posts you posted on this issue.
When you are on Mac OS, using a FTP-client, you will not find any option with the term chmod, but as the term is explained in [url=][/url] you find that it is explained as follows: Quote:
* Chmod [Change mode] A method of changing the permissions of a file on a UNIX server.
If you use the good old Fetch, you just highlight the directory (folder) you want to change the permissions of, and choose Remote>Set Permissions. You will then get a window with 3 rows with 3 checkboxes in each. The first row is Owner which is you. The second is Group which are the registered users of your board, for instance. The third is Everyone which is.. exactly; absolutely everyone! The permissions you can give, are Read, Write and Search/Execute. You check the boxes for the permissions you will give each category.
