Depreciated Function Errors - split() and ereg_replace()

I receive the following errors when I install and use version 7.x 1.x-dev.

# Deprecated function: Function ereg_replace() is deprecated in _popup_tag_attributes() (line 41 of ... \www\drupal\sites\all\modules\popup\modules\popup_filter\includes\popup_filter.processing.inc).

# Deprecated function: Function split() is deprecated in _popup_tag_attributes() (line 55 of ... \www\drupal\sites\all\modules\popup\modules\popup_filter\includes\popup_filter.processing.inc

I have set PHP to ignore "depreciated" errors per:

PHP Version 5.3.5
Drupal Version 7.3 (also tested with 7.0 - same results)
