Export nodes to CSV in importexportAPI format, via views

I know the 5.x version is still being worked on, but I thought to post this here for later. What do people think of the idea of being able to make a view of nodes with the views module, w/ the capability to them export all the nodes and their dependencies to CSVs according to the importexportAPI standard?

Right now, you can export a table to CSV via views with http://drupal.org/node/114115. Does this have any practical use case for anyone? Right now, to export, you have to select an entire specific content type, etc. Maybe piggybacking on the views UI would be helpful to scale down the module? I know views is node-focused, so it would not handle exporting all vocabularies, for example.

Just some thoughts for now.
