When I have 'Send notifications on user profile updates' enabled, I receive an e-mail each time a user logs in. I am using Drupal 6.22.

Attached is a png showing the log acknowledging the e-mail sent by the Advuser module just after a user logged on. It has happened each time a user has logged on since I enabled that option.

Any ideas?

You must have some module updating the user profile. Can you try the 6.x-3.x series to see if it helps? If not you'll need to determine if the user profile is being updated somehow.
