I use Gmaps 6.x-1.1 on Drupal 6.22 (further jquery UI 6.x-1.5). I noticed that with an increasing number of locations, the Gmaps view no more showed up. Instead I notice the message "Javascript is required to view this map."
When I change my view: "Items to display" set to 350, the Gmap Views appears. Decreasing the maximum gives the "Javascript..."-message.
Changing the Gmap Clustermanagers doesn't make sense. Also I tried to switch Autozoom off. No effect. Switching to Gmap 6.x-1.dev gives the same result.
Is there a maximum number of items in Gmap? Has anyone an idea how I can show a view with > 2.000 locations (in combination with Clusters)? Thanks in advance!

rickh commentedI am just bumping this because I would also like to find out if there is a maximum number of node that a normal server can display.
Anyone?

bama1965 commentedI have the same issue with the error "Javascript is required to view this map."
I get it when I go from 3 items to display on the map to 4.
I remove one item and the map displays correctly.
Does the item to display work as a work around ?
Where is that set ? in the Gmap module ?

lgmanchego commentedI'm having the same problem as bama1965 in drupal 7. Has anyone figured this out yet?

johnvDoes this still happen in latest versions (upgraded from API v2 to API v3)? My D7-version shows 500+ locations (500 nodes with each 1 location) without problem.
Or do you have 1 node with n locations?
