Lightbox views trigger, grouping, and relationships: atypical mexican stand-off/soap opera

I'm in a bit of an ordeal right now.
Let me paint you the picture:
1 -Contents:
Content type "channel" with a node reference to content type "country".
"Channel" has image field with logo.
"Country" has image field with flag.
2 -Intended Views page:
List of country flags, when clicked a lightbox should open with the country's respective channel logos.
3 -Actual result:
Chaos... can't group by country's lightbox trigger, channels and countries repeated a zillion times. help?

Ideas?
