5.x Support

The HEAD version of the Vote up/down Package have been updated for Drupal 5 and need testing. Please submit any bugs and feature request through the projects issue tracker.

The vote up/down packages goal was to create a digg/reddit like module for drupal. The 4.7 version worked quite well, however 5.x support has stagnated. The current issue comes in that the developer of voting api released a non working add-on to voting api which has the same function as voting actions. Due to this the following attempts to make voting actions work as seen at http://drupal.org/node/110896. These have failed to allow promotion/demotion to/from the front page. There have been numerous requests to have voting api's version updated, however this has not occurred; see http://drupal.org/node/107523.

Optional modules which need to be completed are the userpoints module. Nothing appears to have been updated since Feb. 19 for userpoints 2.0 which I am really interested in using.

Is there any chance frjo could throw in a hand to help the voting api/voting actions modules and possibly the userpoints modules?

This is a problem with a module that depends so mush on other modules. Userpoints is a nice addition but voting_actions in some form is essential to Vote up/down.

I have no time to work on these modules myself anytime soon so lets hope Eaton and Kbahey starts using Drupal 5 themselves :-).

The topic at http://drupal.org/node/110896 has been updated. votingapi_actions is the direction which eaton with be going towards in regards to the voting actions module. He stated that he is working on this.

As I have stated above the HEAD version of the Vote up/down Package have been updated for Drupal 5 and mostly works as far as I can tell.

I have tested Vote up/down HEAD with Actions v1.25.2.2 , Voting API v1.40.2.5 and Voting Actions v1.15.2.4 and it seems to work :-)!

Yes, they seem to work. However the HEAD version along with actions module has less features then v4.7 (like comments publish/unpublish is missing)

Promoting to frontpage and making sticky seems to work fine, but i can't get the actions "Award/deduct userpoint to node author (Vote up/down)" to work.

I found a bug in vote_up_down_actions.inc yesterday so download the just released 5.x-1.x-dev where I have fixed it.

I've upgraded my from 4.7 to 5.1 now, and everything seems to work OK.

I had to reconfigure the configurations of some modules (voting actions, tagadelic, reactivate 'recent popular content' block in views), but other than that, it was pretty painless.
