Hi

I am using drupal 6.
I am interested to have the default home page to consist of the login form and the description of my company.

How to configure the home page for all users so that the login form appears (without the registration form) and another paragraph describing the company's activity.

You could try the Panels module. That would be one way (and probably the most user-friendly) of performing this task.
