I've created a group to create simple clear information on Drupal. This is not technical, nor meant to explain the programming or mechanics of Drupal, but to build a base of understanding. I welcome anyone who has had a hard time figuring out something to share what gave you trouble, and now what you understand.

Please join us at: http://groups.drupal.org/beginner-documentation

I believe it already exists.... http://drupal.org/node/120612. Though, as everything around here I am sure more and new input is welcome.

Yes, I know that has been added and it helps out a great deal. I feel that there needs to be more. She covers quite a bit and hopefully will be hanging out with us.

But how do I share what I found confusing when first here? I´ve registered at drupal groups but can´t post into the group, nor do I see where to apply.

I wanted to suggest a very basic thing, how to get started. A simple step by step guide to getting the open source goods needed for installing a localhost on ones computer, creating and configuring a database to install drupal on. I could only find instructions on installing drupal after the localhost and database was in place. Finally found a book with instructions but it slowed me down a lot and will continue to slow down new recruits.

Hi Webjourneyman, at the groups you need to sign in separately from signing in here, you can use the same but make sure your "logged" in. I kept doing that. To post something just create a story, or comment to something that has been said. This is exactly the kind of thing I'd love to see posted there.
