It would be beneficial for the administrator to have the option of selecting a custom date for the Initial Focus that is neither the first event in timeline, the last event in timeline, nor the current date.

Title: Arbitrary Initial Focus » Support for an arbitrary initial focus

Thanks for the feature request, Pete. I think this is a potentially useful enough feature that I, or another of the module developers, should look into implementing it for version 1.2 (but we need to get version 1.1 out the door first).

This remains my favorite Drupal module. It's terrific!

Any idea when you'll be releasing v1.1? or v1.2?

I'm looking forward to the implementation of this arbitrary initial focus.

Pete, I'll try this weekend to sync the 4.7 and 5.x versions and roll out a release for both.

Arto, any progress on support for arbitrary initial focus for the Timeline module?

This module really rocks and I'd love to see it continue to improve!

Good idea. Another related feature could be adding a customizable "position" dropdown beside "Initial date focus" on admin/timelines edit (i.e center, right, left or a specified delta). Now initial date elements are centered but in some cases (e.g. current date focused timeline for past events) half timeline is unpopulated (watch screenshot).

A position field (center, right, left) with a customizable delta should be useful.
