Is this module still being developed? Is it advisable to use it on a production server? Or should I go to a active module which does video conversion? I thought about video.module but I think it is overkill for me as I need only Flash Conversion.

ffmpeg converter / ffmpeg wrapper can work well with mediamover on D6. Haven't used this one myself.

Yeah use the dev versions, ffmpeg has been changed recently in its version strings and stuff like that. the 1.x v 2.x choice may take some fiddling as function names internally differ between them.

yeah, see both ffmpeg_wrapper and converter's 2.x-dev versions are modified very recently. Hope they are stable enough
