This breaks everything that is using views including exposed filters, sorts, menu admin, module admin etc

The drupal 7 module is not fit to install for anyone who isn't actively working on it. Please update the main page to reflect as much and the gravity of the problems with this module.

This has always been the case. The module is intended to be used only for the duration needed to find your theme hooks and template files. Don't leave it enabled if you are not actively hunting for these.

This is a major error and we're working on it.
The patch in #1247280: Fixing html breakage once and for all should fix a lot of your issues and we could always exclude some hooks from theme developer to solve all the remaining problems. Could please review that patch and post your results here?

I've tested this with the latest version of theme developer and it seems to be fixed now.
If not, please provide detailed instructions so that i can reproduce it.
