Flexinode, taxonomy and i18N modules - translation possible for custom content?

I am unable to make a custom flexinode content item (a lawyers directory entry) work with i18n translation module (languages are French/English) and taxonomy module.

The different law categories that I set up and translate under the category - terms do not appear in the second language/translation of the custom flexinode content item (lawyers directory entry). Also the custom headings ie phone, fax etc., for the custom item are not in the .po file.

Am I missing something here or do these modules not work together to create translated flexinode content?
