Description

Hi,

Any events I create using the basic event module (content type 'event') will not show up in the Calendar View module. However, they will appear in the basic calendar created by the basic event module.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to go about fixing it?

Drupal 5.1
-Event
-Views
-Date + Date api
-Calendar
-JS Calendar

1) Install the Event Views module so that your event info can be added to Views
2) Pull up your Calendar view in the Views edit screen and add one of the Event fields (start date or end date) to the Fields list.
3) Add the event field to the Sorts area so the events are sorted into chronological order.

Thanks Karen, that worked great! I'm a newbie to views and this calendar so I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of it. Can you quickly explain that the 'Key' is? Every event I add has the same key [Key 1] so all the header stripes are yellow. Is the key supposed to be a type of event? If so can you point me in the direction to configure that?

thanks again

At the moment, you don't have any control over the stripe (it is a different color for each unique combination of a content type and a field type), but there is a feature request oon the issue queue to allow you to control that yourself.

Hi,

I followed what was said in this post and managed to get the events to show in the calendar block but in the page view it works in the year, month and week view but the day view always looks empty, any ideas?

Cheers

Get the latest dev version of the code and try again. There were a few buggy things in the day view that might have been the problem.
