SMS via email gateway

Greetings,

Did anybody every need to send SMS messages from the Drupal site? I've found an smsgateway module but it is needed when dealing with sms gateway companies like clickatel or x-on.

Please try another solution http://drupal.org/project/smsemail to send SMS messages via free email gateways.
It may help you to communicate with site users for free.

In the README.txt, step 3 appears to have been cut off.

3. Configure smsemail.module on 'admin/settings/smsemail' page. Add as many
gateways as you need (every gateway corresponds to a certain number prefix).

Thanks for the link. Since, we only need a few our Ukrainian local operators, I didn't include all of them in the installation.
But, if you do that, please provide an SQL script and I'll include it into the module installation to configure the database from the beginning.

This list is probably not

This list is probably not enough because our module detects mobile operator by the prefix used in the phone number (I don't see another way to do it). So, to configure the database properly we need to know not only company name Unicel and email gateway utext.com but also a set of prefixes used by Unicel. I don't know where to get this is information for all operators in the world but only local ones.

here in South America we use this method: http://guyanayellowpages.gy/sms/

You have a drop down list of carriers once you select that carrier you get their gateway so if you select AT&T from the drop down lost and enter 8005559090 you'd get 8005559090@sms.att.com as the email address, your prefix system cannot work for me.
