Hmm, can you provide more feedback? I didn't have any trouble with this feature in my testing and I don't see why only a limited set would make it in...

cron fails, but items seems to be imported anyhow... except all the category tags... sorry I cant be more specific.

That is the function grabbing the categories. Is your Drupal taxonomy somehow limiting it? Or, is your theme not outputting all of them?
