It would be nice to have a status update here and/or on the project page to know how adventurous the 2.x branch is to use.

Thanks for your interest in the new Linkit version!

It is ready for testing and is under active development. It is not ready for production use. There are many new features in 7.x-2.x, and, thus the API, UI and other stuff may change without notice.

Stable release hopefully by the end of this summer. Probably we will release an alpha when we are finished with the most important issues and todos.

We gladly accept help, mainly we are interested in:

  • Testing the 7.x-2.x branch further
  • Finding bugs
  • Fixing issues
  • Fixing todos

What is left:

  • Update script for 7.x-1.x to 7.x-2.x
  • Make update documentation in the README file
  • Multilingual support testing
  • Testing...
  • Testing...
  • More testing...

I have now commited that will handle the update between 7.x-1.x and 7.x-2.x.

Its simply adds the {linkit_profiles} table, and also delete the two old Linkit variables (linkit_node and linkit_term) in the varaible table.

There was a major bug in 7.x-2.0-beta1 and we have therefor annulled that verison.
#1344720: Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in linkit.module

We will asap release a beta2.
