Hi,
I have started a new issue for this as I wanted to ask with regards to version 2.
So, a quick question about sorting:
My setup is such that all users can tag content, not just the creator.
EG There are 2 music albums - one gets 10 'experimental' tags and the second gets 8 (as well as a whole bunch of other tags). I'd imagine that the first would appear at the top, but then I am thinking it may have had more tags overall, and number 2 may actually be more similar and more deserving of the top spot.
Perhaps there could be some sort of ratio used - eg 10 out of 20 tags say experimental = 50% tag strength - however the second might be 8 out of 10 tags saying experimental, which would lead to a higher tag strength of 80%.
So I don't know if you have implemented something like this already, or if it has a wider appeal - so I am just putting it out there.
I guess it would be fairly easy to translate to multiple terms as well - when taking in to account 5 shared tags and trying to find the most similar content, for example. The sum of all the percentages divided by the number of terms?
Basically I'm trying to figure out how to be equally fair to both popular and unpopular content - but I'll guess with a module like this it's ground already covered?
Many thanks for the interesting module,
All the best, joe
