I'm just wondering whether to enable DA for my site, and I think that productivity is one of key reason for me, so
does this module gives productivity boost or contrary it is mostly for "adminability" of several sites.

Interesting question. We use it for content syndication, not multi-site administration. This is because you have to share most of the site infrastructure (menus, modules, views, blocks). So the module is designed for uses where you have closely related sites.

If your sites don't share content, I generally advise not to use the module.

See www.interlochen.org or www.barnard.edu for examples where content sharing makes sense.

Other people may have experience otherwise.

Actually I need only users syndication, not really other content, simply the same login-pass + maybe main profile. So I think I should search some other solution.

I agree. I tried using DA in a situation similar to yours (since it's such a great, well maintained, module), but it turned out to be overkill and actually made managing the sites more difficult. I ended up just combining the sites, so I can't speak from experience as to alternatives, but there are a variety of single sign on modules. There is a partial list and some discussion here - http://groups.drupal.org/node/36224.
