Currently you can not change the email body using the string overrides. This seems to be due to the fact that \n is used. If each new line of the email was split out into it's own line running through the t() function the module will work with string overrides . It would allow you then to customise the ucreate module with spaces etc.

Does this sound OK? If so I can create a patch to update the module.

Yes please. The Ucreate module is very inflexible. Requires a forced hack to change the welcome email text
