Toxid commentedI put this through Coder, but it needs more work. I can attach it with this post in case anyone wants to work with it.
mgiffordThanks Toxid. I won't be able to get to it this month, but it's a very useful starting point.

joel_guesclin commentedDid anyone actually complete the port to D7? If so I would be very grateful to receive the upgrade!

dom. commentedModule maintainer has changed : Christmas is coming (and also winter, beware !). Therefore, you will find a new 7.x-1.0 release !

joel_guesclin commentedThat is very very good news. I have done a bit of work on this myself but got stuck... if it is useful I can make the half-baked thing I have done so far available here

dom. commentedHi !
Feel free to help ! If your work is on D7, the port is now complete and available on module page. If for D8, I'm will start working on it very soon so your "half-baked" work would help a lot !
joel_guesclin commentedI'm afraid it's only on D7. I have written some modules in the past, but I found myself having real difficulty getting my head around the Entity model in D7, and now with D8 it seems one will have to use Symfony! Help!!
But thanks for the module - I'm actually surprised more people don't take it up since it's a really nice use case to have all discussions grouped in a forum, but still allow discussions on a particular article to be cross-referenced between article and forum. I'll try installing and testing the D7 version as soon as I can

dom. commentedYour help reviewing the D7 version would be so much help ! Please feel free to help and open issues. You can even try the 2.x-dev version which sees DiscussThis link like a field, therefore you can move it on your page, group it with others and have everything benefit a field can bring you.
I guess the module is not much used since it never had a D7 version...
