Description
After installing and activating the Img_assist module, the child panels on the Control Panel page (from the controlpanel.module) are empty. Upon deactivation of Img_assist, the child panels' contents reappear.
I'm using PHP 5.1.6 and MySQL 4.1.20.
fyi, I posted this issue in the img_assist issues queue a month ago and they haven't responded yet.

In case it is helpful, I have Img_assist and Control Panel installed and enabled on my sites and I do not have this problem.

I could not reproduce this behavior.
