The module doesn't seem to be set up to work with US users.

The following example assumes you want to send a text message to the US number 1-307-555-1234 --

If you set up a gateway with "1" as the prefix (or even "+1"), the code won't allow it. If you set something up for every area code, (for example, 1307), then when it sends the message, it will send it to 5551234@teleflip.com.

Did I miss something? Is there a way to route US numbers to (for example) 3075551234@teleflip.com?

OK- a moment after I submitted this I decided to try something else.

If you enter the following, it works:
Phone number prefix: 1307
E-mail gateway domain: teleflip.com
Gateway number usage mode: "International number without the +"

I guess this is technically solved, though it would be nice to implement http://drupal.org/node/121960
