I'm not a big wiki user, but wiki markup varies does it not?
Nevertheless I'll try to whip up a wiki addon which will use the replace hook.
Changing status to active since by design doesn't show up on the normal filtering.

Someone would have to define the particular markup necessary since wiki markup tends to vary from interpreter to interpreter.
give me the tags you need and I can try port it.
else try reading the directions and give it a whirl.
