After posting in the views issue que merlinofchaos pointed me out to this module as a possible solution.

Spend some hours with this module, however couldn't find the right settings.

This is what i'm trying to do.

I need a block display.
As a result outcome i want the titles of 4 different content types.
The tricky part is, each content type should be limited to only 1 result.
The block should not be displayed if there are no results.
