The plugin is working well on single pages but on the blog listing the 'hole' appears without any video being displayed.

Sorted sort of...

If blog post are teasers a video can appear as a whole.

If the running blog list is set to view whole posts these is no issue.

Might just be something to know about rather than fix.

The display of any Media asset (not just Vimeo) can be displayed differently in the teaser or views. I went over how to configure this in my D4D session that they were nice enough to record and post...

You can display an image, a smaller version of the video, or an image that shows the video in a pop-up when the video is clicked, but configuring that is not something the module does. It is something you have to do for each provider you enable. If you have Vimeo and YouTube both enabled on a field, you need to configure how each of those are displayed.
