The goal is for Theme Hues to use the new file wrapper system, allowing it to adapt to any configuration settings you've made regarding which wrapper you want to use.

I'll put this in the roadmap, but can't guarantee when it will appear in a release.

Plupload site already provides an example to target an S3 bucket.

Maybe an update of plupload integration module that create galleries on Drupal's db while it sends/retrieves jpg's files to/from an Amazon bucket ?
