Thanks Gurpartap, I have downloaded the latest module and out of the catch 22 and I dont get the same error and I can get into the module settings now, it 'seems' it working -except another error now i get
warning: mysql_close(): 242 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/firestats/php/ezsql/mysql/ez_sql_mysql.php on line 117.
running Drupal 5.1
fitestat module 5.x-1-dev
Firestats SA directory is on the top Drupal directory
i can a
Database installed sucessfully via the firestats SA tabbed settings panel
I have installed to a separate DB than Drupal site DB
Q- what is the option?
1- to install the firestats SA into a separate DB or into current Drupal DB?
2 - is it the reason i get the error above?
-there is no instruction on this as any instruction on the standalone
on
http://drupal.org/project/firestats
you refer to
http://firestats.cc/wiki/InstallUpgrade
http://firestats.cc/wiki/Drupal
refers back to Drupal module site
http://drupal.org/project/firestats
and there you refer back to the
> Install FireStats as a Standalone.
so there is a info loop on drupal install Standalone instructions
how to digg proper install instructions and common errors and fixes?
would be useful if ther was more instructions specific to Drupal Firestats SA as common errors can not found on
http://firestats.cc/wiki
thank you
ps: i have posted the same issue under my previous issue which is marked as -fixed-
than i realised maybe i should submit a new one which is not marked as -fixed- sorry for the repeat

please open a ticket at firestats.cc, and follow the instructions at http://firestats.cc/wiki/HowToSubmitATicket

thank you,
I have submitted the ticket as you suggested at the firestats site
but i presume its to do with the drupal integration as i get this error above on the drupal site on all pages as drupal warning format.. otherwise standalone itself is fine and working.. i get the stats change the settings and the database.. - no errors there
also on the module settings description are not clear (better choosen few words might make difference for average people like myself :) such as
there is no ID creation field on the Standalone Fire settings! am I missing something??
does it mean those roles will be not recorded stripped out on the stats? or they dont have to access to view the stats?
Thank you for any help in advance
