Although I've installed the internationalisation module and set that basic pages should be translatable, I can't find how to translate my front page into the different languages of my site.

I'm closing the ticket as a duplicate of #1235828: i18n support for the "alias" mode. as you're creator of both, we'll try to follow everything related to i18n in the other ticket.
