i'm thinking that this module can be deprecated because there's modules with better support, that does the exact same thing and much more:

features - export CCK and Views as modules, among others
chaos tools (bulk export) - exports some stuff as modules too
views (bulk export) - exports multiple views at once as text files
cck exports multiple cck fields at once as text files
