There isn't much in the output that would allow for styling - particularly styling according to score. Example: a score of 1 would be an a different color than a score of 10.

Do you mean in the display of the review itself, or of the node being reviewed? Viewing the node being reviewed is out of scope for this module, as that's just accessing the votingapi data for the reviewed node. That's a votingapi issue.

I mean for the review node. I have attached a sample template.php where I have overridden the output to include class tags, etc.

This won't be fixed anymore or replicate to verify this issue, we just have to move forward and making version 6 stable and create version 7 dev.
