I have multiple access groups to reflect all of my user roles and would like the editor to be able select groups that relate to a role that it is not a member of.

I found the checkbox "Show groups even when user is not a member" on the Simple Acces Settings page, but, after I check it and go back to the node, I cannot view all the access groups.

if you are not user id number 1 (which was my case), The settings page for simple access doesn't come out unless you do this : https://drupal.org/node/887108

Thank you Gordon. I'm not completely familiar with the process. when does a "dev" version become the "recommended version"? Because I notice that not just in this module, but in others often the recommended version is full of bugs that are already fixed in the dev version, but no one knows which is the best one to install.
